This past Sunday in Calgary, Alberta, the stage was set for the iconic rock band KISS to electrify The Scotiabank Saddledome. This much-anticipated concert, which had been eagerly marked on calendars since its announcement in March, marked the final leg of their North American tour and this was a show made for the fans to love!

THEATRE – We Raise Our Cups to Hadestown: Love and Tragedy Unfold at The Jubilee until November 26

Hadestown has returned to its roots. Creator Anaïs Mitchell worked on the concept for years, including a production at Edmonton’s Citadel Theatre in 2017. When it finally made it to Broadway in 2019 it earned 14 Tony Nominations and won 8 awards. In the last few years many shows have closed on Broadway, but Hadestown continues to sell out night after night.

Nearly 100K Trans Teens Lost Access to Health Care, Sports, or Bathrooms in 2023

New report estimates the impact of five types of legislation on transgender youth
According to the Williams Institute at UCLA School of Law, about 105,200 transgender youth aged 13 to 17 live in 22 states where gender-affirming medical care is banned. Nineteen of these bans—all except three—were enacted in 2023. An estimated 92,700 transgender youth reside in these states. About 26,000 transgender youth in five states with bans are currently able to access care due to court orders that prohibit enforcement of the laws.
