TRAVEL – Another trip to my most visited city in the world: NYC

New York City is a vibrant and diverse destination with a unique energy all of its own. It’s probably my most visited city in the world and I enjoy being there every time I go. There is always a lot to see and do, and if you’re part of the LGBTQ community, there are plenty of venues there just for us.

One of the first places I visited on this trip was The Stonewall Inn, which is of course an important and historic landmark in our community. It’s a bar in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of Manhattan that was the site of the Stonewall riots in 1969, a turning point in the fight for LGBTQ rights.

Review of Machine Dazzle’s solo exhibit, Queer Maximalism

Spread out over two full gallery floors like synthetic blossoms, the exhibit was comprised of over eighty creations built for performance; the costumes displays queered the notion of what theatrical design can be, blending found materials and foundational concepts with a spirit of radical reinvention.
